Disclaimer and Safety Guidelines

By participating in this jewelry-making workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Safety Precautions:

1. Heat & Fire Safety: The workshop will involve the use of a torch and open flames. Always follow the instructor’s guidance when handling fire or heated equipment. Under no circumstances should a lit torch be left unattended. Be mindful of your surroundings and the potential risks associated with working with heat and fire.

2. Tool Handling: Sharp tools, hot equipment, and other potentially hazardous items will be used throughout the session. Handle all tools carefully, and only use them as directed by the instructor. Improper use of tools may lead to injury, so always ask for assistance if unsure.

3. Work Area Awareness: Be vigilant of your work area and those around you. Keep flammable materials away from the workspace, and ensure tools and equipment are stored safely when not in use. Maintain a safe distance from others while using tools to avoid accidents.

4. Personal Responsibility: You are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor throughout the workshop. If at any point you feel uncomfortable using any equipment or handling materials, immediately inform the instructor for further guidance or assistance.

5. Medical Conditions: It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations (such as respiratory issues, sensitivity to heat, or conditions affected by metalwork) prior to the workshop. This helps ensure appropriate accommodations and minimize risks.

Liability Waiver:

By attending, paying for, and participating in this workshop, you understand and acknowledge that participation involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to burns, cuts, scratches, or other injuries. Despite the implementation of safety protocols, accidents and injuries may still occur.

By signing up, paying for, and participating, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks involved. You agree to release and hold harmless the instructor, workshop organizers, and the venue partner from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses that may arise, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

No Refunds:

All workshop fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, refunds will not be issued; however, rescheduling may be offered at the instructor’s discretion and subject to availability.

The jewelry workshop organizer reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual who fails to follow instructions or refuses to sign the physical waiver form. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Important Note:

Participants under 18 must have a legal guardian’s written consent to attend. If you have any doubts about your ability to participate safely, please consult with the instructor before the workshop.

Our workshops are led by locals who were born and raised in siargao. Jewelry making is a new skill on the island, and we have been working closely with them to learn and grow in the craft. we truly believe in their talent and dedication, and your participation helps us continue up-skilling, training, and creating meaningful opportunities for them.

As with any learning process, there may be moments when things are not perfect, and we appreciate your patience and openness. your support makes a real difference, not just in creating jewelry, but also creating a sustainable future for local artisans.
